Sonny Leone, Porn & India

Sunny Leone is a most successful porn star in Indian history. So much so that the Indian porn industry that has been hushed up for decades is now receiving a rare spot light thanks to her success and enviable beauty. I suspect this happened because she crossed from porn to popular cinema. Come to think of it, its kinda like the Indian caste system when someone from the perceived “lower caste” has had the courage to mingle with the “upper caste”. Suddenly, self righteous bigots felt their world was under attacked. Huge protests begin to appear everywhere. One bizarre claim is that Sunny’s “immoral” films a reason for for rape. Huh, funny that right? But it really is not funny because the ignorant will see this as a sensible explanation and jump in the band wagon to protest.

To connect porn with rape is pathetic! Only loose moral and bigots think in such a way. If a rape occurs it is the fault of the rapist not the external factors. If these bigots want to use external factors as blame, then I ask each and every one of you to tell me who do we blame when a priest, monk, rabbi, imam, granthi, pujari or pastor rapes someone? If we were to follow the same logic of these bigots then we can blame the religion of these rapist. How about that? Can you counter this argument? Those men I mentioned are religious teachers and leaders who dwell in the MORALITY of their religion yet there are amongst them that prey on others, even young boys and girl that are entrusted in their care are not spared. Let’s not also forget that these ‘religious rapist’ are usually serial rapist. That mean’s they do it over and over again, usually on multiple victims. Show us the porn, the miniskirts or any other temptation that these poor children may have force upon these religious teacher and leaders.

And, what about the concerted effort by religious institutions to protect these rapist? Where is their morality? and, where are these chest thumping warriors of morality?

I have said many times, that morality has been kidnapped, hijacked and repeatedly molested by religion and politicians to suit them when as they need it. Humanity does not need these moral police. The only laws we need are those that curbs hurting others. Everybody have rights but the moment your right infringes unto another’s is the moment you should stop and ponder. If you do something that does not hurt anyone then you are moral in my books. Everybody have rights but the moment your right infringes unto another’s is the moment you should stop and ponder. All these bigots have to do is NOT watch porn if they don’t agree with it. Everybody have rights but the moment your right infringes unto another’s is the moment you should stop and ponder. They have a right not to watch or participate. She has her right to make what ever film she wants. She is not infringing in to their right to NOT watch it! Bigots have no right to infringe on her right to make it. Better she makes it voluntarily than a poor girl being force in to making it. It that sense, Sunny Leone might have inadvertently saved at least another young girl in to porn. She is a hero in my eyes. She does it voluntarily and by this sheer willingness somewhere out there a young girl is not being kidnap from her family and force in to making porn. She is not promoting porn in any way because porn has been here before moving pictures was invented, just look at the walls of some temples. And will always be here.

Also, I have not watch porn and gone raping. Have you? A man is evil if he chooses to be despite his environment. A man can be honorable even in the thick of battle. We choose our thoughts and actions. We are evil by choice. Stop hiding behind the veil of religion and morality. We need laws that protects our rights from infringement. The day we as humans understand this is the day we progress, undeterred.

In my humble opinion, of course.
